July, 2008:
Hummer, Nikki & Taylor turned 13 yrs old (!!!) on 7/12.
Picture has been submitted to the Rottweiler Health
Foundation for their "Happy
Birthday" fundraiser page. Lea will be coming home
this month and has earned a total of 4 pts. toward her
Championship during her stay in Washington.
April, 2008: On
her second weekend out showing, Lea
has won her first points!!... a 3 pt major!!
March, 2008: Dori
has earned her first title from Rally Novice. We've
finally gotten some help on how to continue with clicker
training, so hopefully, we'll be able to get her ready for
Novice Obedience this year. Lea finished her Rally
Excellent title at the TSCA National with a 1st place;
earned a 3rd place in her class of 6 at the Sat. supported
entry and finished 2007 as the Highest Scoring Tibetan
Spaniel in Obedience!
January, 2008: I
lost my little Bean quite suddenly this month. Her
page is now accessible through the "Past Dogs" link.
=(
November, 2007:
October was a busy month for performance! Bean
finished her Rally Excellent title and her
titling
performance is on You Tube! Dori earned 2 legs
toward her Rally Novice title and Lea earned 2 legs toward
her RE. Lea was also entered in our 1st UKC Obedience
trial where she completed her U-CD in 3 straight trials,
finishing her title w/a score of 193 and 2nd place!
She also has her
own
video at You Tube!
October 6, 2007: I
received an email today with some GREAT news! It's not
so much news about my dogs, but news about the Chihuahua
standard. Passing by majority vote, the Merle color
Chihuahua is now a disqualification in the Conformation
ring! My personal congratulations to all those that
put such a great effort into this petition and the payoff of
making it OFFICIAL!
July 12, 2007:
It's Hummer & Nikki's birthday today! They're
doing very well for their age - physically and mentally.
Well, Hummer has always been a bit mentally challenged (*eg*)
but he's still his normal old self. Lea and I are
going to Oregon in August to a Conformation show. Wish
us luck on our first points toward her Championship.
May, 2007: Lea
finished her Rally Advanced title on May 12th at the first
outdoor trial of the year here in Alaska. We will now
shoot for an Rally Excellent title, while continuing her
training for her CDX. Bean is coming out of retirement
to try for a Rally Excellent title and Dori is going to try
and finish her Novice JWW Preferred title.
March, 2007: Lea
just got back from the Tibbie Nationals, where she received
1st place in her class in Novice B Obedience and Rally
Advanced B. Since she already has her CD, the Rally
score makes her 2nd leg toward her title. I've also found
out that Nikki, Knox and Taylor are going to be on the cover
of the 2008 For the Love of Rottweilers calendar! Not
only that, but Bean is Miss January in the Chihuahua Wall
Calendar and Dori is Miss February in the For the Love of
Chihuahuas calendar next year. It's cool having FAMOUS
dogs!! =)
Sept., 2006: I
have added a new picture to Hummer's & Lea's page. Lea's next
Obedience trial is in November; Dori is going to start
training in Obedience - I am hoping that the C.C.A. will
approve and offer the first ever Rally trial at the '07
National and I want Dori to be there! I've updated the
page about
feeding
a raw diet to all my 'kids'. I've added a few new pictures to the Photo Album,
since I've lately developed a BIG interest in shooting
pictures ...and there's a possiblity that Bean's picture may be in a new Chihuahua
book due to be published sometime in 2007.
August, 2006:
Nikki finished her RA in one 3 day weekend of showing with
scores of 95, 86 and 91 & a Highest Scoring Rottweiler in
Rally Advanced B and Taylor
finished her RE! Lea was entered 2 days in Novice B
Obedience and earned 2 legs toward her Companion Dog title!
We plan to enter her in the next trial in November and also,
are shooting for going to the TSCA National in Fort Worth,
TX in March '07. OH! ...and good news also for
Lea. Her eyes were CERF'd normal!
June, 2006: At
just 1 month short of ELEVEN years old, Nikki & sister,
Taylor, completed Rally titles at the Rottweiler Club of
Alaska's Specialty early this month! Nikki finished
her Rally Novice title in style by scoring a 96 and 1st
place and Taylor finished her Rally Advanced title with a
3rd place. Hummer, this being his 1st AKC show in his
entire life, earned 2 legs toward his Rally Novice title.
Sunday, he got a 4th place and a score of 92!

OTCC held an Agility trial this
month too and Bean earned her 2nd Excellent Jumpers leg.
Only 1 more to go for her AXJ! GOOoooo BEAN!! =)
We'll be going for her title July 7th & 8th.
April,
2006: I've created a page telling of my observations on
switching my last 2 dogs, the Rottweilers, over to a raw diet.
It's called: Feeding Raw
